Half-brother of I'm Thunderstruck well-tried for Tuesday debut

The legacy of G1 winner and $8m earner I'm Thunderstruck will, in one way, continue on Tuesday when one of his half-siblings debuts in Victoria.

Like the Golden Eagle and Makybe Diva winner I'm Thunderstruck, 3YO gelding Primal Spirit also hails from the stable of Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr, and the $240,000 yearling buy will kick off his racing career at Benalla over 1212m.

And if the early fixed-odds flucs are any indication, Primal Spirit might have a bit of ability to show off - having opened $13 with TAB, he is now a $4.20 second-fav (no deductions).

Primal Spirit finished sixth in his most recent jump-out at Cranbourne on January 15, with stablemate Crumpets pairing off with Southport Tycoon to comfortably run one-two in the 1000m trial.

Primal Spirit is in the pink silks / light blue cap out the back as they turn for home in his most recent jump-out, before getting past a couple in the straight.
